Breakthrough T1D Walk is Canada’s largest fundraising event in support of those living with type 1 diabetes (T1D)—bringing together thousands of families, friends, and supporters to accelerate breakthroughs and get us closer to cures.

The first Walk was held in 1994 in three locations – Toronto, Hamilton and Ottawa – and collectively raised $100,000. Since that inaugural year, the Walk has expanded to hundreds of communities that have raised more than $146 million to support T1D research over the last 33 years.
